IMPORTANT PRESS RELEASE FROM AN UNSIGNED BAND.

RANK UNDER FIRE OVER LANGUAGE ROW

The band have recently come under criticism over their excessive use or bad language. Apparently, at the last few gigs the swearing has been especially colourful. Front man ‘Terry’ ranted “We ain’t forcing people to come and see us, it’s up to the individual. If you go to see a rock’n’roll band you gotta expect a bit of language so I couldn’t give a fuck who I upset, if you don’t like go to a fuckin’ Elton John gig and leave us the fuck alone!” Guitarist ‘Rob’ added “Look, we’re a bunch of working class lads who drink, smoke, shag, play music and swear. We’re not gonna change our ways just to conform to the boy band, clean cut with matching white suits view that a small minority think we should adopt. We are what we are, so you better leave your sensitivity’s at the door if your gonna come and see us.”

The front rank will be playing there next gig @ [snip]

Something about punk not being dead, etc.

  1. I like how the frontman’s name is apparently merely suggestive, and not confirmed.

  2. Is it me, or do nearly ALL the authors of these press releases not know the difference between “there” and “they’re”? And is it because a) they’re all thick OR b) there all PUNK ROCK?

  3. As we all know, there is no other music in the world made by more than one person other than ‘working class guitar band’ and ‘boy band’.

Their sensitivity seems to have its own door, though. I’m impressed by that.

  4. Is it just me, or do many people who comment on blogs not know the difference between “they’re” and “their”…?

  5. I have had the misfortune to have to work with this bunch of talentless cunts and to be perfectly honnest if people are finding the swearing the most offensive thing about their set they must be either tone deaf or hate music.

As an asside I suggest you go look at the Rank Front, oh sorry Front Ranks’ myspace. Their logo looks like it was copied from somewhere quite familiar. I would especially suggest this to anyone whom works with Oasis, you may be wanting some money from these boys. Possibly for some of the songs as well that are dire rip-offs of Noels work.

I shall finish by saying ‘the lads’ are all squadies so I would never say any of this in front of them as I value my bollocks and my continuing ability to breath.

  6. I hate it when people make smart remarks and then commit the same offence themselves. There all idiots, those people…

  7. I love it when people don’t spot that a mistake was intentional. Especially when it’s fairly clear that that’s why it’s they’re.
